The song is a playful take on the mundane and trivial aspects of everyday life. The song concludes by stating that the man is now left without a Pullunder, standing alone on his balcony.

The sound effects again demonstrate the disgust that the man feels towards the Pullunder. The turning point of the song occurs when the man decides to get rid of the Pullunder by throwing it in the trash bin and exclaiming 'Bloß weg mit dem Pullunder'. As a result of this constant sweating, the man becomes socially isolated. The sound effects of 'Quitsch Quatsch Plitsch Platsch' are used to represent the sweat and the discomfort that the wearer is experiencing due to the Pullunder. The song starts by describing the Pullunder as being made up of 70% Acrylic and costing 7 Mark 90, which causes the wearer to sweat profusely. The Die Doofen's song 'Es geht ein Pullunder auf Reisen' is a humorous take on the story of a man and his cheap sweater, referred to as a 'Pullunder' in German.
